The Power of the Pyramid: Receiving an award in the state's Golden Image competition is an incredible PR accomplishment.
Professional recognition is a very important component of the Central West Coast Chapter. The goal is to acknowledge excellence, validate professional expertise, and honor outstanding contributors to the public relations field.
The CWC award "season" begins in early January with professional development activities that describe the chapter's Image and state's Golden Image competitions. The CWC Director of Image Awards provides workshops and one-on-one mentoring.
The chapter competition is scored by a neighboring FPRA chapter and the Golden Image competition is evaluated by a public relations organization from another state.
The Central West Coast Chapter Image Awards are presented at an annual gala in April. Those who enter are encouraged to review the judge's remarks, revise the entry as needed, and enter FPRA's Golden Image competition.
The state awards ceremony is a formal affair at the annual state conference.
