Position: Public Relations Intern
Location: KSC, Inc.
Job Description:
KSC knows you want a hands-on experience in the growing world of public relations and that no college classroom can foster the on-the-job knowledge and skills you’ll gain from our firm. We know what it takes to create a winning team which is why our internship program is so highly competitive. KSC offers a Summer Internship Program (May – August) to only one individual each year. Our intern will gain exposure to the real world while working in a fast-paced, full-service advertising, marketing and public relations firm.
Internship Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Media Relations (press release writing, story pitches, news clippings, ad equivalencies)

Advertising (copywriting, budgets, schedules)
-
Marketing
-
Research
-
Strategic Planning
-
Event Planning
- Client Work
This is a full-time, unpaid internship (20-30 hours/week). Benefits include:

One year paid Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Student Membership (if not already a member)
-
Monthly FPRA chapter luncheons (during internship)

Business Mileage Reimbursement
- Three-day FPRA Annual Conference Trip (includes paid professional registration valued at $1,200 and room and board
Candidate Requirements:
-
Must be a Junior or Senior working towards a four-year undergraduate degree

Must be enrolled in a Florida College or University
-
Must have a concentration in Public Relations or similar field of study

Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
-
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word / PageMaker and Microsoft Excel a plus
- Must be able to attend FPRA’s Annual Conference at Kissimmee’s Gaylord Palms
